Head on down to Kingston Library and take part in their newly establish Crochet and Knitting group led by a local expert. The expert is on hand with techniques and tips for all levels whether you are just learning or looking to pick develop your skills. This is a free activity and a great way to meet new people whilst trying out something new or developing an existing skill.

The Big Sleep Out is a unique opportunity to experience just a fraction of the challenges faced by those without a place to call home. By spending one night outdoors, you'll gain insight into the realities of homelessness and help raise funds to support programs and services. With the British Legion suggesting that there are 6000 ex military personal homeless this is a cause to get behind.

This year's sleep out will take place within the grounds of All Saints Church in Kingston Town Centre.

Explore Henry VIII's notoriously haunted palace for Halloween 2024, the spookiest time of the year at Hampton Court Palace.

This October half term, lose yourself in atmospheric projections and creepy sound effects as the palace is transformed by magical spells.

As you tiptoe through the dark winding corridors and courtyards, you’ll feel the chilling presence of our infamous ghosts hiding around every corner. Work with our ghost hunters to seek out all of Hampton Court Palace's spirits, but keep your distance – these ghosts are best kept to the past.

Pre-booking recommended, Members go free.

Junior Park Run is on every Sunday at 9am at Latchmere Rec. It's entirely free but please register before you first go along. You only need to register with Parkrun once and don't forget to bring a scannable copy of your barcode (request a reminder). If you forget it you can still run but you won't be timed.

Park run is organised by volunteers so please get involved and email latchmererecjuniors@parkrun.com to help. A great way to get out, get some fresh air and meet different people from the area.

Green Jobs is a self paced online programme over 12 weeks that introduces you to careers in the Green Economy. They offer 1-2-1 coaching, 30 Hours of coaching activities and access to a curated library of learning courses.

Join the programme for free if:

You live in the Kingston-upon-Thames.

You are 18 - 65 years of age.

You can commit 6 hours per week to coaching & learning, and agree to work with a coach

You receive benefits (e.g. UC***, JSA, Income Support, ESA, Incapacity Support or PIP).‍
