Easter Kids Event – Arts, Crafts & Chocolate Fun!

Easter is the perfect time for creativity and treats! Join Aggie and the Army Welfare Service for a fun-filled Easter Kids Event at The Keep Community Centre (Flat 29) on Tuesday, 8th April, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM.

Children will enjoy arts and crafts activities and get hands-on making delicious chocolate crackles. It’s a great opportunity for little ones to have fun, get creative, and celebrate Easter in a warm and welcoming environment.

Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult.

Join the Easter Egg Hunt & Easter Trail at The Keep Community Centre!

The Army Welfare Service is inviting families to a fun-filled Easter Egg Hunt & Easter Trail at The Keep Community Centre. This exciting event will take place on Saturday, 5th of April, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

Children will have the opportunity to explore, discover hidden treasures, and enjoy a festive experience. Parents and guardians are reminded that children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the event.

Young Carers 6-Week Virtual Program

The Army Welfare Service is launching a six-week virtual program for young carers who support a sibling or family member with additional needs, a disability, or mental health challenges. This initiative provides a space for young carers to connect, share experiences, and participate in engaging activities.

The program offers an opportunity to:

  • Meet others in similar situations
  • Contribute ideas to help shape the project
  • Learn about upcoming events, including rap workshops and music festivals

Junior Park Run – A Great Start to Sunday Mornings

Junior Park Run is a fantastic way for children to embrace fitness and have fun at the same time. This weekly 2K event is designed for kids, encouraging them to get active in a non-competitive, friendly environment. Parents can cheer from the sidelines or even join in for support.

With no pressure to be the fastest, the focus is on participation and enjoyment. Whether it’s their first run or their hundredth, every child gets to celebrate their own achievement.

The Big Sleepout

Are you ready to make a difference? Sign up for the Big Sleep Out on the night of October 4th.

The Big Sleep Out is a unique opportunity to experience just a fraction of the challenges faced by those without a place to call home. By spending one night outdoors, you'll gain insight into the realities of homelessness and help raise funds to support programs and services. With the British Legion suggesting that there are 6000 ex military personal homeless this is a cause to get behind.

This year's sleep out will take place within the grounds of All Saints Church in Kingston Town Centre.

We Are Going On A Bear Hunt Trail in Kingston

The trail runs until June 7th, offering a delightful exploration for all ages.

Each sculpture, from the vibrant Groovy Bear-by to the avant-garde design of Mother Paw’d, narrates its own captivating tale. Clarence the Climate Bear serves as a poignant reminder to safeguard our environment, while Spectrum embodies the values of inclusivity and optimism. Jester prompts us to reconsider our connection with these magnificent creatures, and Bear-Play enchants with its whimsical geometric patterns.

Park Run - Latchmere Junior Rec

Junior Park Run is on every Sunday at 9am at Latchmere Rec. It's entirely free but please register before you first go along. You only need to register with Parkrun once and don't forget to bring a scannable copy of your barcode (request a reminder). If you forget it you can still run but you won't be timed.

Park run is organised by volunteers so please get involved and email latchmererecjuniors@parkrun.com to help. A great way to get out, get some fresh air and meet different people from the area.

As you tiptoe through the dark winding corridors and courtyards, you’ll feel the chilling presence of our infamous ghosts hiding around every corner. Work with our ghost hunters to seek out all of Hampton Court Palace's spirits, but keep your distance – these ghosts are best kept to the past.
